A very well written book that deals with hockey as well as forms of abuse.
It was not an easy book to read as it covers some very unsavoury topics. It is well written and I do think that it is done in a way that isn’t too overpowering as part of the story.
What I really like is the character of Cody. Coming from a life where his father was an alcoholic and his mother was the one who seemed to care and love him. This lead to him not being able to see that what happened to him wasn’t normal.
Terry a former NHL player is a man who may not really be in the book very often he is also a person that seems to have the respect of other.
A book that I truly find was outstanding even if it was a more difficult read. This is still one of the top books that I have read of his.
