A missing girl.
Threatening notes.
Sinister strangers.

Olivia’s idyllic family life in a Swiss mountain village is falling apart. She thought she’d managed to escape the past, but it’s coming back to haunt her.

Has somebody discovered her secret – why she had to leave Scotland more than ten years ago?

And what is her connection to Marie, a lonely schoolgirl in a Yorkshire seaside town, and Lucy, a student at a Scottish university?

A twisty family mystery with a dark edge, where nothing is as it seems.

My Thoughts

The follow up book from Alison Baillie author of Sewing the Shadows Together one of the best debut books I have read. This book certainly was well worth waiting for.

What I really like is the atmosphere that this book sets. It has such a creepy set up that drew me in within the first few pages.

The author has an ability to create an atmosphere that keeps you wanting more. The story itself was great and had so much to offer the reader.

Olivia is an interesting character and really enjoyed her story. This is so different from her first story that she wrote and it’s hard not to compare the two of them.

Is this as good in my opinion to her debut novel. The answer would be no but it is is equal to her first novel and that is saying something as I loved her first novel.

Wonderful writing style from a wonderful author. Really can’t wait to see what she will come up with next.
