The Mad Trapper by Helena Katz

A historic look at the largest manhunt in Canada.  This book holds a lot of meaning for me as it is based in Canada and in a territory that I have been to.

I love the descriptions of the areas.  While I have been to The Northwest Territories I have never been to the area that these have taken place in.  When I read this I felt like I was in the place and that I could feel the seriousness of the situation.

I was lucky enough to meet the Author Helena Katz when I was up in Fort Smith and was able to discuss her novels with her.  This is the second novel thst I have read by her and it is amazing to see the journey of those involved.  The author is very open about her novels and I would love to read more of her work.

Last year I read Justice Miscarried and loved the stories and how they were told. If you get the chance you should read this.
